Theatre

Students performing a musical theatre scene in colorful costumes on stage, set against a backdrop reading ‘Mary Poppins Talking Shop.’

The CCS Theatre Department invites students into the rich tradition of storytelling as a way to explore God’s world.

Rooted in a Christ-centered mission, the program emphasizes hard work, respect, collaboration, and humility. Students are challenged to stretch themselves, to welcome constructive feedback, and to use their creative gifts for the glory of God. By telling compelling, truth-filled stories, our students not only develop as artists but also serve and inspire the greater community.

Show Stopper

Our renowned Musical Theatre department is a dynamic and integral part of the Fine Arts program, regularly performing to sold-out audiences in our state-of-the-art, nearly 600-seat Fine Arts Center auditorium. Throughout the year, students present multiple full-scale musicals showcasing their talents in front of community audiences. Theatre classes offer a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes acting, directing, and writing, while also providing opportunities to explore specialized areas such as stage combat, stage makeup, scenic design, children's theatre, and radio plays. In addition, our popular summer musical theatre camps offer an immersive, fast-paced introduction to every aspect of theatrical production—perfect for students eager to experience the magic of putting on a show from start to finish.

Winnie the Pooh KIDS | May 15–16

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course... sharing snacks.

Filled with all of their favorite characters, Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a favorite for children to perform. There is ample opportunity for adding a large ensemble and filling your stage with as many creatures of the Hundred Acre Wood as possible.

Performances will be May 15–16, 2026.
