  • CHA Ballet at CCS: Inspiring Young Dancers This Fall

This fall, Chattanooga Christian School is delighted to welcome CHA Ballet to campus, offering Lower School students the opportunity to experience the beauty and discipline of ballet in an age-appropriate and engaging environment. Classes are carefully designed to nurture creativity, develop coordination, and build a strong foundation in dance technique, all while cultivating a love for the art form.

The program begins with Creative Movement, a class for 3- and 4-year-olds that introduces rhythm, balance, and coordination through imaginative games and activities. As students grow, they may continue into Pre-Ballet, designed for ages 5 and 6. This class builds upon early movement experiences by introducing basic ballet steps and terminology, while continuing to develop flexibility, rhythm, and coordination. Older students, ages 7 to 10, may participate in Ballet 1, where they will begin formal barre work and across-the-floor exercises with a focus on proper technique, posture, and alignment. Each level provides students with the tools to grow not only as dancers but also in confidence, discipline, and self-expression.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from September 2 through November 19. Families may register by creating a profile for their student in the online portal, selecting the appropriate class level, and will then receive details on dress code and expectations.
