Faith & Spiritual Life
Building Faith. Growing Community. Shaping Lives.
Faith isn’t a class at CCS — it’s the foundation of everything we do. Through chapel, service, discipleship, and everyday learning, students grow in wisdom, love, and a deeper understanding of what it means to follow Christ.
Director of Student Life & Discipleship
The Director of Student Life & Discipleship cares for the spiritual needs of Upper School students including student life, spiritual formation, and discipleship.
This department focuses on the intentional integration of academic life, student life activities, chapel, student small groups, and co-curricular activities all aimed towards the development and discipleship of the whole child, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Weekly Worship & Chapel
Worship is an integral part of life at CCS. Every student participates in age-appropriate worship gatherings each week—designed to nurture faith, reflection, and belonging. In Middle and Upper School chapels, students engage with music, Scripture, and community gatherings that pause the pace of school to focus on what matters most: our need for God and His presence.
Student-Led Worship Arts
At CCS, students don't simply attend worship—they help lead it. Through our Worship Arts elective, Middle and Upper School students serve on chapel leadership teams, preparing worship music, scripture readings, and testimonies. These opportunities equip students to lead with skill and heart—whether on campus, in their church community, or beyond.
Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
Faith at CCS isn't reserved for a class or chapel time—it’s woven into everything we do. Our Director of Student Life & Discipleship oversees initiatives including small-group Bible studies, retreats, student life mentoring, and service opportunities. These experiences link spiritual formation with academic pursuit, student relationships, and everyday campus life.

Why This Matters
We believe that when students understand that all of creation is God’s, learning and living take on new significance. Subjects, friendships, sports, and activities become opportunities to honor Him. At CCS, we aim for students to leave not only with knowledge—but with transformed hearts, shaped character, and a strong sense of belonging in Christ’s community.
