Get ready for adventures with cooking, designing with legos, movie-making, exploring Chattanooga, or studying Spanish. This summer, we are excited to offer circuitry and robotics camps for coding and engineering design enthusiasts!

Escape Room

June 11–15, 2018 / 9:00 AM12:00 PM / 3rd–8th grade

Does your child like riddles and breaking codes? Join us this summer as we work together to "Escape the Room!" The kids will learn to break codes and solve problems as they work together as a team. The Gamemaster will help guide them as they race against the clock to escape the room. This camp will be led by Jamie Sims. The maximum number of campers is 15. The cost of this camp is $175.


Circuitry: Be Your Own Inventor

June 11–15, 2018 / 1:00 PM–4:00 PM / 3rd–8th grade

In this camp, you will unleash creativity and collaborate to create and design new inventions. Activities will encourage each camper to think creatively and use technology to solve real world problems. What do you want to invent? This camp will be led by our Lower School STEAM team. The cost of this camp is $150.


Dash, Dot, Ozobot & Sphero

June 11–15, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / PreK–2nd grade

Robotics campers will be motivated to collaborate with one another to understand the basics of robotics construction and the programming language. In robotics camp, we will have lots of fun programming the robots to complete challenges and battle in strategy games. Fun things we will do in robotics camp may include dressing up our robots for a dance party, create a story using different robots, or battle race the robots! This camp will be led by our Lower School STEAM team. The cost of this camp is $150.


Adventure for Boys

June 18–22, 2018 / 1:00 PM–4:00 PM / PreK–2nd grade

We'll use ideas from the The Boy's Book of Adventure, enjoy scavenger hunts, learn about God's amazing world, and just have some good messy fun! This camp will be led by Julie Armstrong. The maximum number of campers is 15. The cost of this camp is $175.


Escuelita Spanish

June 18–22, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / PreK–4th grade

This summer camp is designed to wake up a passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture in your little ones. The goal is for them to enjoy a week full of fun experiences en Español. Your child will be immersed in the language and culture through music, dance, art, story listening, writing, games, and last (but not least)–FOOD. This camp will be led by Upper School World Languages Teacher, Nikki Dyer. The cost of this camp is $150.

This summer camp is designed to wake up a passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture in your little ones. The goal is for them to enjoy a week full of fun experiences en Español. Your child will be immersed in the language and culture through music, dance, art, story listening, writing, games, and last (but not least)–FOOD. This camp will be led by Upper School World Languages Teacher, Nikki Dyer. The cost of this camp is $150.


Lego Camp

June 25–29, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / 3rd–6th grade

In this camp, you will have an amazing time exploring, experimenting, building, and designing with Legos! Students will enjoy STEAM activities that include recreating local landmarks and historical buildings, making a habitat for an animal, printing and painting with Legos, designing and building a tiny home and the furniture that would go in it, participating in a vehicle challenge, making a stop-motion animation, creating a 3D design of a school, and much more! This camp will also incorporate problem-solving, mathematics, and architectural design that will both challenge and facilitate creative design. This camp is great for those who enjoy building, testing their creative design and vision, and using their imagination to have fun with Legos! This camp will be led by Craig Lubbers. The cost of this camp is $150.


Kids in the Kitchen

June 25–29, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / 4th–8th grade

Join Mrs. Beth Ann Green for a fun week of menu planning, preparing, and cooking! All materials are provided and are nut-free. Students will learn to plan, shop, prep, and create favorite items using safe prep and cooking skills. Parents will be invited to a tasting on the final day of class. There will be a maximum of 10 kids per session. The cost of this camp is $175.

July 9–13, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / PreK–2nd grade

Lego Adventure Camp will be an engaging, creative, and active. Children will build and act with Legos. Your child will play games and do activities that will keep them moving throughout the day. Each day is a different theme. Children are encouraged to dress up each day with the following themes: Superhero Legos, Ninjago Legos, City Legos, MineCraft Legos, and Star Wars Legos. This camp will be led by Miriam Arnold. The cost of this camp is $175.


Lego Robotics with EV3

July 9–13, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / 3rd–8th grade

Think, Design, Create! In Lego robotics camp we will have lots of fun building Lego robots and programming them to complete challenges! Campers will become very familiar with the EV3 Lego Mindstorm programming language and will work on real world problem challenge missions. If you love Legos, this is the camp for you! This camp will be led by our Lower School STEAM team. The cost of this camp is $150.


Lights, Camera, Action: Making Movies with Digital Technology

July 9–13, 2018 / 1:00 PM–4:00 PM / 2nd–8th grade

Experience digital filmmaking or learn basic photography and photoshop techniques with hands-on instruction. Explore the art of digital filmmaking by shooting and editing your own unique video. Learn to write a script, operate a camera using manual functions, and make edits! Are you ready to create a movie? This camp will be led by our Lower School STEAM team. The cost of this camp is $150.


Makerspace & 3D Printing

July 16–20, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / 3rd–8th grade

If you always have new, fun ideas and are passionate about inventing, you will love this camp! In the Makerspace & 3D Printing Camp you will work with recycled materials and 3D printed objects to build prototypes of new or better inventions! Campers will have the opportunity to participate in the Bright Spark Invention Challenge, where they will work individually or in small groups to complete an invention and submit their work. Finalists will be locally recognized and receive a prize. This camp will be led by our Lower School STEAM team. The cost of this camp is $150.


Scratch Coding/Makey Makey

July 16–20, 2018 / 1:00 PM–4:00 PM / 3rd–8th grade

Do you like creating games, stories, or music? In this camp we will be very creative. Using Scratch coding, campers will have the opportunity to build games, stories, or create music by coding characters to do things. Campers will also have the opportunity to use the Makey Makey kits to turn anything into a keyboard to control their programs. Let's see what you can create! This camp will be led by our Lower School STEAM team. The cost of this camp is $150.

Mountain Biking

July 16–20, 2018 / 9:00 AM–12:00 PM / 6th–12th grade

Come explore the great mountain biking trails around Chattanooga with Josh Green. This camp is designed to teach campers about bike safety and maintanance while exploring the beautiful mountains. Campers will need to bring their own bike and helmet. Bikes may be dropped off on Monday and picked up on Friday. The cost of this camp is $175.


Chattanooga Explorers

July 23–27, 2018 / 9:00 AM–4:00 PM / 5th–12th grade

Come explore Chattanooga with Shaun LaRose. This camp will be a full day of discovery and learning about the amazing places in Chattanooga. Campers will leave campus each day on a different adventure. They will hike beautiful mountains and explore new places in the Chattanooga area! The cost of this camp is $250.


College App Boot Camp: Writing, Resumes, Submissions

July 30–August 3, 2018 / 12:00 PM–3:00 PM / 11th–12th grade

Are you interested in minimizing the stress surrounding the college admission process? Are you interested in getting a head start on the many steps of the college application process by the time school begins on August 15? CCS’s College App Boot Camp assists rising seniors in preparing their college applications during the summer so they'll be ready to submit in early fall. Students will complete applications (including edited essays), write and polish resumes, and receive assistance in understanding each college or university's application submission systems and deadlines. A review of how to best utilize college search, scholarship, and career path tools will also be provided. This camp will be co-led by Director of College and Career Counseling, Joan Vos, and Writing Center Coordinator, Camille Platt. The cost of this camp is $150.
