Robotics Teams X and K Receive Excellence Awards

CCS Robotics Teams X (Logan Rigby, Willem Dunmore, Luke Sharma, and Benjamin Hinderliter) and K (Hannah Long, Miles Donahoe, Owen Dean, and Aaron Platt) received excellence awards in local competitions. Team X advanced to the semi-finals, and Team K won an invitation to the Tennessee VEX State Championship.
CCS Middle School Robotics Team X (Logan Rigby, Willem Dunmore, Luke Sharma, and Benjamin Hinderliter) received the High School Excellence Award at the Ridgeland High School North Georgia State Qualifier Tournament on Jan. 21 and advanced to the semi-finals alongside other high school teams. The Excellence Award is the highest award presented in a VEX Robotics competition, and this award is presented to the team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a high-quality robotics program.

Team K (Hannah Long, Miles Donahoe, Owen Dean, and Aaron Platt) received the Middle School Excellence Award at the CCS Bolt Up! tournament on Jan. 14. With this award, Team K received an automatic invitation to the Tennessee VEX State Championship where they will compete for an opportunity to represent CCS at the International level. Congratulations to both of these hard-working teams!
