Growing Strong Athletes
The Chattanooga Christian School athletic program is a valuable component of our total educational program.
"We still see God working in his life from the experiences that wrestling taught him."
– Parents of alumnus
The primary goal of each season is to create an environment that allows student athletes to develop to their full potential within a team context. Coaches seek to develop individual and team skills through well-planned training and positive reinforcement.
While fielding the most competitive teams possible is certainly important, the value of athletics at CCS is seen most significantly in the discipleship that occurs through coach/player and player/player relationships. We believe there is long-term value in the life skills learned through competition and the confrontation with success and failure through participation in co-curricular athletics.
We place additional emphasis on demonstrating gracious sportsmanship in the midst of the highest levels of athletic competition. The mission of CCS—to prepare students to lead and serve with distinction while representing Christ and seeking his Kingdom in all areas of the home, church, society, and culture—is fully integrated in the Chargers athletic program.
Our athletic facilities feature three soccer/football fields, a track, a baseball field, a softball field, six tennis courts, three gyms, and a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning center. Our highly-qualified coaching and training staff work with students and form mentoring relationships that enable student athletes to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. CCS competes in the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).
