Supply lists for all students will be shared in June via the CCS app and Thursday Update newsletter.

This summer, we’re going to have some SUNsational readers at The Glenwood
School! All rising 1st through 5th graders will receive a packet with a
sunsational-themed Summer Reading chart and some fun goodies. Everyone
who participates and turns in their chart can choose a prize from the Reading
Treasure box, and additional prizes (including free books and special treats)
will be available for those who complete at least half or all of the chart. All the
details will be in your packet.

More information about Summer Reading, including CCS Summer Library
access, Summer Book Clubs, and book recommendations, will be available in
the CCS app in May.

Please Note: Summer Reading Packets will be provided to Rising 1st-5th grade
students only. For Kindergarten students, please enjoy reading with them as much as possible this summer!

Keeping you informed about school events is important to us! Here are a few ways to stay up to date:

• CCS app: Our new app is your hub for school news and important announcements. Search "Chattanooga Christian School" to download it from the App Store or Google Play today!
• Thursday Newsletter: Weekly email with school news & announcements
• Social Media: Engage @theglenwoodschool on Facebook & Instagram.

PRO TIP: You'll need to use the same email address you use for MyCCS to login.

Tuition is billed according to the payment schedule parents choose upon setting up their billing account with Clarity, our outside tuition and financial aid management company. The first tuition payment is due in July. The Admissions Office will invite parents to set up Clarity accounts in May. At that time, you may select one of the following payment plans for tuition:

1. One (1) payment due in July; 
2. Two (2) equal payments, due in July and January;
3. Ten (10) equal payments, due monthly July through April;
4. Twelve (12) equal payments, due monthly July through June;
5. Equal payments beginning the month of enrollment through June (applies only to enrollment after July 31).

Clarity provides convenient and flexible tuition management services including online account access, tuition and fees invoicing, payment processing, and customer care.

Families are responsible for packing a lunch and a snack for their child each day.

Parents and special visitors are welcome to eat lunch with students! To help us accommodate guests in the lunchroom, please plan to visit on your grade level's assigned day:

• Kindergarten: Monday
• 1st Grade: Tuesday
• 2nd Grade: Wednesday
• 3rd Grade: Thursday
• 4th & 5th Grades: Friday

Nut Policy: Nuts and nut products are not permitted in classrooms. Snacks consumed in the classroom must be nut-free.

TGS uses August Schools to collect accurate medical information about students. An automated email will be sent in early May from August Schools, prompting you to complete the online forms and upload immunization records.

• The first year, it may take some time to complete all the required information.
• In subsequent years, only updates to the information will be needed.

NOTICE: Per Tennessee state law, students may not attend school unless their health forms and immunization records have been submitted.

At TGS, we want students to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn! Our dress code is designed to keep things simple, respectful, and appropriate for a school setting.

Uniforms will be available for purchase beginning a month before school starts and throughout the school year. The cost of purchased items will be added to the student's tuition account.

Uniform tops and dresses must be purchased directly from The Glenwood School. Uniform bottoms should be gray or navy and may be purchased from any local retailer.

• Short-Sleeve T-Shirt: $10
• Short-Sleeve Polo Shirt: $15
• Long-Sleeve Polo Shirt: $20
• Short-Sleeve Dress: $25
• Long-Sleeve Dress: $30
• Sweatshirt: $40

• Students may wear any uniform tops purchased from The Glenwood School.
• Uniform bottoms should be gray solid-color shorts, pants, skirts, or skorts purchased from local retailers.
• All uniform clothing must be clean and in good repair, with no tears, holes, or frayed edges.
• Students are expected to wear shoes that securely hold the heel and toes in place. Rubber-soled shoes must be worn for P.E. in order to participate.
• Personal outerwear may be worn outside only.
• Hats, caps, and bandanas may be worn outside only.
• Girls may wear leggings of any color underneath skirts.
• Socks can be any color or design.
• Hair bows, ribbons, and headbands can be any color or design.

Chromebooks

Chromebooks are the property of Chattanooga Christian School and are assigned for classroom use in grades 4 and 5.

All students are expected to follow the Technology Covenant, as outlined in the TGS Handbook.

Seesaw

SeeSaw is the Lower School learning management system (LMS) and serves as a digital portfolio of student work for all TGS students. All parents will receive SeeSaw login information at the beginning of the school year.

TGS students are invited to participate in any Lower School co-curricular activities offered at Chattanooga Christian School, including robotics and athletics.

• Parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from CCS for these activities.
• Information about co-curricular opportunities will be shared thrugh the TGS weekly e-newsletter and the CCS app throughout the school year.
