When Should I Order?

Great question! Whether you’d like to get a jump on uniforms or wait until your child has had maximum time to grow, we recommend placing your order no later than mid-July to ensure everything arrives before the first day of school. In-stock items typically ship within 1–2 weeks, but during the back-to-school season, some items may be backordered.

Our Spirit Shop stocks fresh apparel in August. Charger Welcome Day is a great time to purchase P.E. uniforms and check out new spirit wear for the school year!

Family Information & Requirements

Arrival & Dismissal

Drop-Off: Students can arrive as early as 7:30 AM.
Lower School Pickup: 3:00-3:30 PM in the front circle of the Lower School. Students not picked up by 3:30 PM will be sent to Extended Care.
Upper School Pickup: Carpool runs from 3:20 to 3:45 PM in front of the Middle School or the High School. Middle School students not picked up by 3:45 will be sent to Extended Care.

PRO TIPS

If you have students in both Upper and Lower School, you may drop off all of your children in the Lower School carpool line.
You may pick up Upper School students through the carpool line, or you can park in one of the available spots and have your students walk to you.

Extended Care

Extended Care is available from 7:30 AM-6 PM for PreSchool-8th grade students.

Lower School students are checked in immediately after school or following any after-school activities.
Middle School students should report to the Extended Care room at 3:45 PM.
All students are picked up from Extended Care at the Lower School lobby.

Health & Immunizations

Health & Immunizations
CCS uses August Schools to collect accurate medical information about students. An automated email will be sent in early May from August Schools, prompting you to complete the online forms and upload immunization records.

The first year, it may take some time to complete all the required information.
In subsequent years, only updates to the information will be needed.

Sports Physicals

Required for all 6th-12th grade athletes
TSSAA Physical form dated after April 15, 2026
Also required: 26-27 Consent to Treat Form

Only enrolled CCS students who have turned in a TSSAA physical form are able to participate in tryouts and practices. Please have your student’s physician complete and sign the TSSAA form included in this packet and email it to Jordan McDaniel at jmcdaniel@ccsk12.com at your earliest convenience.

Notice: If your child has a medical condition that will require treatment or medication during the school day, please contact the Student Health Office.

Tuition Payments

Tuition is billed according to the payment schedule parents choose upon setting up their billing account with Clarity, our outside tuition and financial aid management company. The first tuition payment is due in July. The Admissions Office will invite parents to set up Clarity accounts in May. At that time, you may select one of the following payment plans for tuition:

One (1) payment due in July;
Two (2) equal payments, due in July and January;
Ten (10) equal payments, due monthly July through April;
Twelve (12) equal payments, due monthly July through June;
Equal payments beginning the month of enrollment through June (applies only to enrollment after July 31).

Clarity provides convenient and flexible tuition management services including online account access, tuition and fees invoicing, payment processing, and customer care.

Student Life Basics

Dress Code

Lockers

Students in grades 4–12 are provided with a school-issued locker to store their belongings during the school day.

Students are welcome to personalize their lockers in simple ways that help them feel at home during the school day, while also helping us keep shared spaces clean and organized.

Students may decorate the inside of their locker if they wish—please no outside decoration.
Decorations should be attached using magnets only (no stickers or adhesives).

Locker Locks

CCS operates on the honor system and typically students do not use locks. Our expectation is that students should only access their locker and respect the lockers of others. However, students may choose to use a lock if they wish.

Locker Sizes (4th–7th)

Lockers for students in grades 4–7 measure approximately 18” × 36”, providing space for backpacks, books, and other daily materials.

Lunch Program

CCS partners with SAGE Dining Services to manage campus dining, and SAGE works diligently to provide meals that are nutritious and well-balanced. All students are automatically included in the program; however, those who prefer to bring food from home may still do so or supplement their lunch with items from the school.

Menus are available online and through the TOUCH OF SAGE app. SAGE labels recipes to identify the top 12 most common allergens. Through the app, you can filter for any combination of these allergens, view ingredient lists, rate your child’s favorite meals, and provide feedback to the SAGE staff. More information about the lunch program can be found on the MyCCS Resources board.

Nut Policy
Nuts and nut products are not allowed in classrooms. Snacks consumed in classrooms must be nut-free. Read the full policy.

School Hours

Technology

Requirements: Chromebooks are required for rising 6th-12th.
- You may order a device on your own or through the school.
- All Chromebooks must be set up by the school. They can be shipped directly to the school or dropped off in the Admissions Office.
Specs: 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, touchscreen or a 2-in-1 model (flips around and can be used as a tablet).

UPPER SCHOOL PARENT TECHNOLOGY TRAINING

We highly encourage all new Upper School parents to attend one of the following meetings to learn about the technology tools we use and how we communicate with our parent community. Lower School families are welcome to attend as well.

Monday, August 3 at 6:30 PM in the Learning Commons
Monday, August 10 at 6:30 PM via Google Meet

During these sessions, newly-enrolled families will receive an introduction to MYCCS, our online student information system. You'll learn how to navigate important features like student and family contact info, medical details, attendance, discipline records, the school directory, and other useful school information.

New students will receive technology training as part of our New Student Orientation on Monday, August 10.

Clubs, & Co-Curriculars

We encourage all students to get involved in athletics and co-curricular activities. Participation helps students develop teamwork, leadership, time management, and school pride while building meaningful connections with peers and staff.

Our school offers a wide range of opportunities throughout the year, including athletic teams, clubs, arts programs, and academic organizations. Families are encouraged to explore these opportunities and help students find activities that match their interests.

Clubs and co-curricular activities may include a variety of student interests and focus areas such as:

Academic and competition clubs
Leadership and service organizations
STEM and innovation groups
Arts and creative clubs
Interest-based and student-initiated clubs

Some clubs meet regularly throughout the school year, while others gather seasonally or around special projects, competitions, or events.

How to Get Involved

Students who are interested in joining a club or co-curricular activity should:

Attend club interest meetings or activity fairs
Reach out to the faculty sponsor of the club they are interested in

New clubs may also be formed based on student interest with the support of a faculty sponsor.

Spiritual Life

Spiritual formation is an important part of life at CCS. Through chapel, worship, discipleship, and service opportunities, students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God and to explore how faith shapes their lives, relationships, and decisions.

Opportunities

Students may participate in a variety of faith-centered experiences throughout the year, including:

Faith-centered community events

These experiences help students grow spiritually while building strong relationships with peers and mentors.

Theatre

The CCS Theatre program allows students to explore creativity, storytelling, and collaboration through performance and production. Students may participate as performers or as part of the technical team, gaining experience in acting, stage production, design, and teamwork.

Options

Students have multiple opportunities throughout the year to participate in theatrical productions. Watch for information in our announcements once school starts.

Lower School

Lower School students are encouraged to explore their interests and discover new talents through a variety of athletics and co-curricular opportunities. These programs provide meaningful ways for students to build confidence, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and experience the joy of learning beyond the classroom.

Through athletics, clubs, dance, and robotics, students can participate in activities that foster creativity, collaboration, and curiosity while becoming more connected to the CCS community.

Opportunities

Clubs
Clubs allow students to explore interests such as creativity, problem-solving, service, and collaboration. Offerings may vary each year based on student interest and faculty leadership, providing students with opportunities to try new activities and build friendships. Watch for announcements regarding these opportunities when school starts.

Dance
CHA Ballet offers Creative Movement (ages 3 & 4), Pre-Ballet (ages 5 & 6), and Ballet 1 (ages 7-10) classes on our campus. For more information about CHA Ballet instruction visit their website. Watch for announcements regarding registration for these classes in May/June.

Robotics
Lower School Robotics introduces students to engineering and problem-solving through hands-on design and teamwork. Students collaborate to build and program robots while learning the fundamentals of STEM and innovation. See the 4th–6th grade Robotics tab for more information.
