At CCS, we see reading as a vital part of a Christian scholar's life. We also know summer is a great time to take students out of the classroom and into a great book, so we have a vibrant Summer Reading program.
The mission of the Summer Reading program at CCS is to invite students, faculty, and staff to join a community of readers who see reading as a joyful, life-giving opportunity to be stretched by new ideas and perspectives and to collectively consider important questions and issues as encountered through books. Through their participation in this program, students, faculty, and staff will increasingly see themselves as readers, or those who choose to read for personal growth and pleasure.
